I am absolutely delighted that work has started on the new development at the Central Sussex College site in Crawley Town Centre, as this will deliver 98 much needed council homes for the Borough.
The builders have started work and are now constructing the foundations of what promises to be many high quality homes for people on our local housing register. These 98 homes will be a big step forward in making a reality this Labour council’s ambition to deliver over a thousand new council homes for people here in the borough over the next few years. As with all developments it will take time for these to be built, and the college development will have a finish date of approximately April 2020.
There are over 2000 households currently on our waiting list, for which homes like this will make all the difference, and the Labour leadership at Crawley Borough Council is determined to deliver the housing they need as much as we possibly can. This is just one of many council home building projects coming forward soon in Crawley, in line with our Town’s motto: “I Grow and I Rejoice”.
