Candidate May 2021 Langley Green and Ifield East
Labour Party candidate for the Langley Green and Ifield East division of West Sussex County Council.
I am honoured to have been selected and acutely conscious of the legacy left by the many extraordinary Labour councillors who have served this division previously. If I am lucky enough to win the seat in May, continuing to provide an excellent service will be my absolute focus.
I was born and grew up in Crawley after my parents, Philip and Barbara Wynne-Jones came to Southgate in the mid-fifties when my father set up his GP practice. I have a professional background in nursing and politics as well as 17 years’ experience as a school governor.
The Covid 19 pandemic has bought challenging times for us all in coping with the many and varied restrictions and doing all that we can to support family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. There is no doubt the local impact on jobs and security will be significant.
Over many years our town’s contribution to the wealth of our County has been disproportionately huge. After Covid-19, Crawley people must receive their full and fair share of whatever support is available through West Sussex County Council. Ensuring that happens will be a top priority.
May 2021 might seem a long way off, but time will pass quickly. Over the coming months I will be out and about (so far as Covid 19 rules allow), meeting with and getting to know as many of you as I can.
If you feel able to help or would simply like to speak, please do be in touch.
