Over forty people turned out in Tilgate for the first campaign day of 2019. On what was a very cold day Labour party campaigners received a warm welcome on the doorsteps with most residents supporting Labour in Crawley.
Crawley Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Peter Lamb was joined by Helen Hayes MP for Dulwich and West Norwood. Residents raised a range of issues with campaigners but particularly that they are fed up with the continuing failure of the Tory government to deliver their Tory Brexit when so many other things need attending to urgently. And the Labour run Crawley Borough council was recognised for its work on behalf of Crawley and Tilgate residents.
Various issues in Tilgate will be investigated by Labour candidate Kiran Khan working with Tilgate Labour Councillor Carlos Portal-Castro. Twelve Labour Borough and County councillors and ex-councillors joined the team today so that residents were able to get informed responses to their local questions.
