Ifield Councillors Peter Smith and Jilly Hart have arranged for Crawley Borough Council to refurbish the shrub beds at Ifield Parade. The existing plantings have been removed and the area has been prepared for replanting.
We will be doing the following.
- Emptying the beds
- Relocating some of the shrubs that can be used elsewhere.
- Laying down a weed suppressant matting to cover the beds until planting season starts again.
- We will also be allowing time for the wooden surround to dry out, so that these can be treated.
These are the plants that will be used to refurbish the beds. This will happen shortly depending on weather conditions and availability of the ‘North Patch Team’. We are lucky to have a team led by people that care about our neighbourhood and that are determined to improve the streetscene while making it simpler and easier to maintain.
We hope that you like it – any comments to Cllr Jilly Hart – email: Jilly Hart@crawley.gov.uk
