We had a tremendous response to the wildflower planting at the bottom of Hyde Drive organised by Cllr Geraint Thomas in 2019, and so we have worked with the Council officers to continue and enhance the programme of plantings.

The agreed Wildflower sites for Ifield and Ifield West  are as follows:

• Dobbins Pond
• Ifield Drive (two raised beds)
• Mill Pond
• Hyde Drive (same location as last year)
• Friston Walk

Providing the ground conditions are favourable, the team will be preparing the areas between 17/02/2020 – 13/03/2020 which will allow time to sow the seed before the end of March.  Of course these dates may change during the Covid-19 crisis.

People have been asking about the types of seeds used and so here are the details of the wildflower mix:

We are delighted to bring these sites forward and hope that Ifield and Ifield West residents will welcome this initiative by the Council.
