Save West of Ifield campaign’s latest newsletter has been published. See all the latest information related to the activities going on that are hoping to stop Homes England’s development proposals for 10,000 new homes right next to Crawley’s western boundaries.

The campaign is now seeking to spread the message about the impact on Crawley more widely especially as people start to recognise that if this development goes through the joining together of Crawley and Horsham into Crawsham draws ever nearer. Literally!

Here’s a message from SWoI Chair – Fenella Maitland-Smith:

‘The time for action is here!

We understand that Homes England will be holding public consultation events during October.  Dates and venues aren’t yet known, but previously these have taken place in Rusper and Ifield.  Everyone should be invited to attend and to respond to the consultation. But please note that any responses to Homes England will NOT count as official objections to Horsham District Council or the Planning Inspector.  So please make sure you also respond to Horsham District Council’s Regulation 19 consultation – likely to be later this year.

And it would be great if as many people as possible – including Crawley residents – could write now to Horsham Council telling them how we feel about the development.
