Save West of Ifield campaign’s latest newsletter has been published. See all the latest information related to the activities going on that are hoping to stop Homes England’s development proposals for 10,000 new homes right next to Crawley’s western boundaries.

The main headlines are that we now have confirmation of the key dates for publication of Horsham District Council’s Local Plan.

–          Local Plan published – probably 8th December

–          Cabinet meeting to agree Plan going to Full Council – 15th December

–          Full Council meeting to agree Plan – 11th January

If the plan is agreed by Full Council, then a 6 week (Regulation 19) public consultation period takes place, before the plan is examined by an Independent Planning Inspector. 

Our BEST chance is to stop the allocation of the West of Ifield site into the Plan from the outset. We will need to be vocal and visible for our objections to be heard.
