Crawley Labour won the 2023 Local elections in Crawley making a net gain of one seat by taking the Pound Hill North/Forge Wood seat from the Conservatives, at the local elections last Thursday. Labour’s Justin Russell beat the long-term Tory incumbent by 177 votes to take the seat for the first time in over 20 years.

And Labour retained all seats that were up for election with good majorities including Bewbush, Broadfield, Gossops Green, Ifield, Langley Green & Tushmore, Northgate/West Green and Southgate. Labour narrowly missed winning Three Bridges by 60 votes and Furnace Green by 68 votes.
