I have lived in Pound Hill for the last 14 years though I have lived in Crawley for much longer. In fact, my mum moved to the new town as a child in 1957. I was educated at Crawley College and Brighton University where I trained as a teacher. I have three children two of whom still attend local schools and as you might expect I feel very strongly about education and the need for adequate funding for our schools. I have experienced the Tory cuts first hand as a teacher and parent and fully understand the damage caused by bigger classes and fewer resources for our children. We need more funding for education.

Another of my concerns is the gradual erosion of the NHS due to government outsourcing of services. The NHS is a National Treasure, one we must preserve, and I will fight to maintain it with all my energy and determination. Vote for me, vote labour and I will strive for the many not the few.
